I'm disabled, and divorced-the divorce decree says that I have to provide health insurance, my daughter doesn't live with me, and I'm on medicare.

it all depends on your states medicaid and social security guidelines,,, go to your local health dept.. and to your local social security office and apply for SSI (supl, secur, income) or another form of assistance,, and apply for medicaid coverage for your child,, they will guide you of your options,,

I agree w John C- check out social services - talk to your social worker-more than likely your daughter should be collecting social security since you are disabled-and you should not be paying child support out of your pocket- at least in Kern County Ca- they consider the ss pmt as from the dad. D

Life sure gets messy some times. You have to go to your local office of the welfare office and start talking. It is not easy because most that work there don't know what they are doing.
