I know that it is important to have health insurance when living in a different country, unless you have the cash to pay up front for medical expenses. So my question, is for those American Expats already living in the Philippines ... What type of medical insurance do you have? A little bit of information about their coverage would also be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for any replies.

The cheapest Blue Cross. (As Gov't retiree, I have to have something). It's not doing me any good except when I travel, but I am also a stockholder in the local hospital here, giving me big discounts. My wife has got also Philhealth.
