just marry a guy that has insurance, and he can add you to his coverage...... ;)
2 :
wat up! im 21 and i just got a new plan. in in new zealand tho and f*ck its expensive for young guys. i dunno about mental coverage?! but i got like specialist, GP, dental and eyes, and hospital coverage and its like 140$NZ a week. but all good, my parents pay. just ring up insurance brokers and firms and ask for quotes, pick the cheapest.
3 :
Check out the www.bcbs.com they have personal plans that are very affordable
4 :
you and me both. haha. i have tried to research it but it is all so damn confusing. with all that copay, dental or not, and on and on. my mom just got a really good job and she is getting insurance for me and my younger brother (i'm in college, by the way, and was wanting to get insurance for myself). she is having to pay over $600 a month for just 3 people. but thats with a good job. if you don't have a good job with a health plan, you will wind up paying well over 200 for just ER and some dental. good luck!!!
5 :
Get a full time job with benefits.

HeAlth Insurance is easy to find when you know where to look. (THE INSTERNET!) I'll give you some hints. Find Health Plans that provide Coverage without a Health Group involved. Some Insurances that only work with Employer Group Coverage but not indicidual policies are Neiborhood,Humana,United Healthcare,Avmed,Aetna,Cigna Some insurances do offer the choice of independent policy: Blue Cross & Blue Shield (www.bcbsfl.com) and Preferred Medical Plan among others. BE VEEERY CAREFUL with what it's called "discount cards". More often than not the sellers of this Plans make believe is an Insurance when it's all a fraud (some example: Florida Health Solutions. There are close to 25 types of companies that sell "insurance" claiming to have contract with a lot of hospital, dentists and other network benefits. It's all a fraud. Some even have the PPO initials on them, but are not an actual PPO.To make sure you are purchasing the right thing, be very specific with your questions, like: Do I have to pay upfront to the provider at the time services are rendered? Do providers bill the insurance directly or they bill me ? (the trick is that they will "reimburse" you a certain % after YOU PAY the provider 100% of the expenses billed to you) The fact is that many of this providers (specially the most expensive ones, like Hospitals) offer discounts to the uninsured of even 50%-70% , which compared to the discounts offered by these plans plus the monthly fee they charge is much more affordable. Don't fall for any discount card, they are ALL a waste of money and even though legal through misterious ways, they are very much UNETHICAL. (Funny fact: Most of the time the employees of this companies don't know what they are selling is junk, and give you a colorful description to buy your confidence) ALWAYS ask for the WEBSITE of the insurance in question, and don't compromise to sign any contract until you've gone through every detail on the web. Don't accept any "cheapy" flyers or booklets. Before selecting the insurance (the real one) check for (VERY IMPORTANT) Copayments , Deductibles & Co-insurance If you have a specific pre-existing condition look for the specific benefits related to it;many policies exclude pre existing or limit the amount of benefits, which realy makes the insurance worthless (or almost). Maybe the monthly premium is cheap, but the coverage is also scarce, and you end up paying almost 100% of the bill between copays, deductibles and co-insurance (if you don't know what these terms are, ask the representative upon contact, this makes a big difference and may defeat the purpose of buying insurance.) Good luck and any other questions you can email me at avielnelia&yahoo.es. I work in a Heathcare facility.....

go to www.ehealthinsurance.com This web site will provide you numerous plan designs from a variety of insurance companies. The things you want to look for are co pay amounts (the amount you pay for a basic visit to your family doctor.) You will also want to check out your deductibles. This is the amount of money you will have to pay out of pocket before insurance coverage takes over. Does the plan cover both generic and name brand drugs? If you are healthy, you may wish to opt for a high deductible. the premiums will be much lower. Take a portion of your premium savings and save it for a rainy day.
8 :
The best place to start is by doing what you’re doing now – asking for personal recommendations. What kind of health insurance are you looking for? It might be a good idea to jot down a list of the different aspects of a health plan and then chart the differences between various plans you come across. Here’s an example: ·Monthly price (premium) ·Yearly deductible (amount you spend before the insurance company will start paying) ·Copay amount (amount you pay per service) ·Coinsurance amount (amount you split with the insurance company – usually a percentage; i.e., you pay 20 percent and the insurer pays 80 percent) ·Freedom of choice (can you visit whatever doctor you want?) ·Preventive medicine and routine doctor visits (does the plan include these?) ·Mental health (included in the plan; copay amounts; maximum number of annual visits). HMOs (health maintenance organizations) are popular right now, and they usually include mental health coverage in their plans. A typical example is that you would pay a monthly fee and then a copay when you visit your therapist (usually around $50 for a plan with low monthly payments). One potential problem, though, is access to physicians. An HMO might not have the kind of mental health specialist you’re looking for. Before you enroll in an HMO, I would strongly urge you to look at their mental health specialist roster. For more choices, you might opt for a PPO (preferred provider organization) or a traditional fee-for-service plan. One helpful Web site is needymeds.com (see link below). It is a catalogue of Web sites devoted to discounted drugs and medical programs. The best way to find answers to your questions, though, is by talking with local insurance agents. Just tell them what you’re looking for and how much you want to pay, and then wait until one of them brings back a policy that’s right for you. You won’t spend any more on a plan from an agent than if you bought the same plan online. MostChoice.com is a Web site with state-licensed agents throughout the country. When you visit the site, you fill out a short information request form. You’ll get free quotes and policy information on health plans near you, and within two days agents should contact you. There’s no cost and you’re not expected to buy a policy from the agents. Also, MostChoice will use your personal information only to help you find the health plan you’re looking for. You can visit MostChoice here: http://www.mostchoice.com/health-insurance.cfm Good luck. I hope this helps, Barnes @ MostChoice.

Health insurance doesn't CARE if you're full time or part time. But in MA, you can walk into the Fallon Clinic, if it's near you, or go to their web site, and apply for coverage. It's about as reasonable as it gets in MA.

CaroLynnie, Health insurance can be very tricky. Since I'm from Tennessee I'm not sure about Massachusetts laws and regulations, so I suggest you call a nearby insurance agent. http://www.goodinternetdeals.com/Health-Insurance.html They should be able to assist you.

How much is a visit to the Dermatologist without health insurance

How much is a visit to the Dermatologist without health insurance?
I've tried everything and I can't get rid of my acne. I don't have health insurance because I've turned 19 and I only have a part-time job and am a part-time student.
How much would it cost to go to a dermatologist and get a prescription? I live in Rochester MN with the Mayo Clinic so I will probably go there.

That would be a better question to call local dermatologists and ask. Without knowing where you are or what doctors are in your area, it's impossible to say. Whether any Dermatologists in your area have any sliding fee scales, or whether you live in downtown Beverly Hills could make the difference between $20 and $2,000.
2 :
I think the visit would be like 50 or 60 dollars, but the medication would be a lot more.
3 :
Acne drug like Accutane cost around $400 and a visit is around $50. Get yourself health insurance before anything because you're going to end up wasting a lot of money.
4 :
Depends on what state...I think here it like 65 for an office visit...just call and they will let you know.
5 :
that depends on where youre going. it can vary from dermatologist to dermatologist
6 :
The dermatologist visit is usually around 60-100 dollars. A general practitioner can also prescribe acne medication, so if you have a health clinic on campus check out that option. If you dont have prescription insurance either, make sure that you ask for them to prescribe a medication that has a generic available. Brand name creams can easily be over $100 and only last about a month. A good one to ask for is Retin-A, its generic is Tretinoin.
7 :
free if you live in the uk
8 :
Every docotor charges different fees for different things. I would say the average for an office visit is between $100 to $200 because a dermatologist is a specialty doctor. Getting a prescription for acne or any presciption for that matter can be very expensive. That range really varies, but make sure you tell the derm doc that you don't have any insurance and ask for samples ( if they have any). If not then make sure she writes for the generic to be filled (not brand name prescription but the equivalent). Also sometimes they give you a break on the price of the office visit b/c of no insurance. Just call up a few different places and see what kind of prices you get.

Can you get health insurance for a dependent that doesn't reside with you

Can you get health insurance for a dependent that doesn't reside with you?
I have a four yr old son that I've had health insurance for since he's been born. Me and his mother don't leave together and now my job has a new insurance and there trying to cancel him bc I don't have proof besides my name being on his birth certificate. I help his mom pay for aftercare but of course it's in his mom names bc we leave in different states. Is there a law that if my child doesn't leave with me I can't provide health insurance.

Medical insurance companies have a rule fore every situation but living in different States can be a problem well its not really ..but they will use any excuse
2 :
I live in illinois and of course u can here! In fact i demand it of his father, and to be honest, his father would not have it any other way. I pay for my own insurance and if i had to pay for my son, it would break my bank. My ex has excellent insurance so of course it was the smartest choice. Your the childs father, u should be able to provide. If not then maybe u need to move to the state u had a child in. Sounds harsh, but thats how it is.
3 :
Um..my ex is required to provide medical insurance for our daughter, through the courts, and he lives 500 miles away..4 states. It is allowed..and happens all the time. Just because a child does not live with a parent does not mean they are not still responsible for the child. If I were you I would fight this. Good luck Belle
4 :
It is very common for a parent to provide insurance for a child that does not reside with that parent. You may need to talk to someone higher up in the chain than the low level person you have been talking to. Perhaps the court order requiring you to provide health insurance will satisfy them.
5 :
health-quotes.isgreat.org - here is my health insurance plan. As I remember they can provide such a service.

Know where to get affordable health insurance for student and family

Know where to get affordable health insurance for student and family?
I am a full time student, married with three kids. My husband is self employed and I am wanting to work part time so I can study.
Does anyone know where to get affordable health insurance? My college doesn't offer health insurance and neither one of us will be able to get it through an employer.

None I know of are affordable but you can look into Healthy Families for your kids, only. Depending on your income, your kids could qualify for $9-$30/mo/kid
2 :
Depends what you refer to as affordable. You can get a major medical plan, with high deductable, which has office visits for a family inexpensive, which still could be $200-$400 per month. The other possible option is a savings health plan, I believe you can get regular doctor visits but like the major medical a large amount would have to come out of your pocket if you needed to get to the hospital. One more thought, there is insurance for kids, I would have to ask a buddy of mine what the name of it is that can cover the kids only individually. This is about $40 -$60 per month depending on medical. Hope this helps.

~~If you are in California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, or Hawaii, you can great coverage, with very reasonable rates through Costco Health Insurance and they have a small business plan which requires no preexisting conditions. Call 1-800-611-9057 at ext 2206. This reaches Lisa which is the rep we used and she was excellent and getting us an excellent package. One requirement is you have to be an Executive Member (higher yearly cost, but you always get 2% back on all your purchases, so we end up making money on ours. It also offers dental with it too. We have been so happy with our policy! Hopefully you live in one of these states. Best of luck!~~
4 :
Apply for state insurance, you should be able to get it since you have kids.

If you are in college, you may want to check again to see if there is a health insurance program that is written through your school. United Healthcare has a plan available at many US schools. These student injury and illness plans provide wide ranging coverage and are designed to be affordable for college students. To check if your school is participating, go to www.UHCSR.com and enter your school name in the search box. You might also be interested in joining the American College Student Association (ACSA), a national organization for college students. They have lots of member benefits, including student health insurance. Their membership fee is affordable. For your children, United Healthcare offers "kids only" health insurance plans that provide children's coverage for sickness and accidents. Their plans are written through school districts and many private K12 schools throughout the US. Their health plan is designed to be affordable, at just $98 every 2 months. Check out www.k12studentinsurance.com to see if your child's school district (or private school) is participating. Click on the "Plans & Pricing" tab, enter the district name or private school name and the state in the search box and review the plans.

7 :
Check out online insurance sites that offer many otions from multiple providers like http://www.humanatampa.com . They do offer many medical health insurance options, including plans that are reasonably priced. You can get several options and prices quickly.

What is a good affordable health insurance company

What is a good affordable health insurance company?
I am 21 yrs old, with no existing health conditions, but I make too much money to get coverage from the state. My employer does offer insurance but it's very expensive and the coverage isn't worth the amount of money they want me to spend.

Oh I don't know about that! we have Anthem BC/BS and we don't have a problem with it at all. For instance, my Oct, 07, neck fusion, $92,000, they paid $17,000 + and we paid our deductible plus about 600 out of pocket. Then with my Blood clot in my lung last year, the bill was around 37,000 for 3 1/2 days in the hosp. w various tests for clots, CT w the IV, ins paid around $8,000 contracted, we paid about 380. We have the PPO plus, as I have numerous conditions. $30.00 office copay, after you reach your yearly deductible, you're more or less home free. Don't knock it til you have dealt with it. We used to have several others, I'd rather have this. We've had a few problems with the 90-day by mail pharmacy but that end had nothing to do with the insurance. It was the pharmacy not understanding what the Dr. my Endocrinologist wrote out. We got it,rather the nurse at her office got it straight.

At a minimum, you need some kind of insurance to cover you in case you do run into an expensive problem. So a policy with a high deductible will be the cheapest and won't offer much for small day to day doctor type visits.

I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you http://Cheap-Health-Insurance-USA.info
