blue cross/blue shield I believe it is very expensive for the individual..(it is expensive even as an min wage employee that is offered it ) Fun Fact...they cover Viagra..but NOT birth control.
2 :
Its' called, your fucked and you elected us and we have, therefore a life time pension, make a guaranteed salary which we may increase at any time with or without your permission because we really don't cater to your puny interests but are much more involved in the corporate, reelection procedure, so fuck you- we can certainly do far better in the private sector lobbying your other supposedly, elected officials.
3 :
Members of Congress and the President get their health insurance through the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program (FEHB). The benefits are a significant piece of their compensation package, and offer a richer menu of coverage than what is typically covered by Medicare. Members of Congress also have given themselves a generous tax break, which lowers their taxable income on the portion of the premium that they pay. the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, the FEHB program offers working Members of Congress, retirees, and their survivors the widest selection of health plans in the country. In addition to health insurance benefits, Members of Congress may also receive dental, vision, as well as long-term care benefits. Generally the federal government (funded by the taxpayer) pays up to 75% of the health insurance premiums, and Members of Congress cover the other 25% out of their (taxpayer-funded) salaries.
4 :
They have a choice of providers who are under the federal employees health care system. FUN FACT 2: Viagra is perscribed for a Medicial condition. IE: erectile difunction. Birth Control is not perscribed for a medicial problem. A better comparison would be Angeliq, which is perscribed for Vaginal Dryness.

I guess its relicare.

How much would it cost me to provide Health insurance to the employees in my small business

How much would it cost me to provide Health insurance to the employees in my small business?
We have a small trading (business to business) company located Manhattan, NY. There are a total of 5 employees, how much would it cost for me to provide health insurance?
How does that usually get paid? Is it split between the employers and employees or is it paid for solely by the company? Thanks in advance!

If you choose to form a group health plan, then you'll have to pay at least 50% of the premium, and you'll have to have at least 75% participation (yourself included). You'll need to work with an insurance agent that specializes in group plans to see how much it would cost. Alternatively, you could offer to subsidize employees' health care costs, by increasing compensation by a set amount each month.
2 :
the cost is up to you. Some employers pay, most share the cost with employees. Coverage and cost also can vary - what are you going to cover and then are there copays. You need to talk to a company and find out different plans and their cost

Where does government forcing its citizens to buy health insurance fit into a free society

Where does government forcing its citizens to buy health insurance fit into a free society?
After all, we are free, right? Free to choose? In a free society, wouldn't the decision whether to have health insurance be left to a free individual and not on mommy government as Comrade Obama wants it to be?

It doesn't fit in because we are not free in the "divided states of america."
2 :
its not forcing you . you'll wish you got coverage, but they are not forcing you and how many situations are there where people dont want health insurance
3 :
Where does forcing me to pay your insurance only because I have insurance? You don't have health insurance? Don't go to a doctor or hospital. I can't afford you guys anymore.
4 :
It doesn't. Period, it is just another socialist takeover by the people who want 'Obamaism' (Thinly disguised socialism with a ruling oligarchy controlling the country)
5 :
Yes, and how is it a right when you have no choice?
6 :
The "Free" is just an illusion. Do you own a car? or plan to own a car? If so, whether you like it or not, you have no choice or "freedom" to choose whether to get insurance or not. Whether you like it or not you have to have car insurance, doesn't matter from what company. We don't live in a totally "Free" society. Wake up and stop being ignorant. We have good freedoms compared to other nations, but there is no country on earth that is entirely "Free"...unless if you're a roaming nomadic tribe.
7 :
Patches, welcome to the United Socialist States of America. You'll have a choice, it's just that you wont like their second offer. The penalty for not having insurance will be the full amount that you did not pay. And you still will not have insurance, so you'll have to pay again.
8 :
No one is forcing you...
9 :
Are you a Liberatrian? If not, you're beating the wrong horse. The Republicans don't have a terribly good record of maintaining a "free" society either. The war on drugs? Anti-choice for women?

UNDER OBAMA'S PLAN IF YOU DON'T HAVE INSURANCE YOU WILL BE FINED $2500. i WONDER WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN SOMEONE W/O INSURANCE DECIDES TO GO TO THE ER? WILL THEY BE BILLED AND THEN FINED?
12 :
Where does the government forcing me to drive under a certain speed fit into a free society? Germany has no speed limits on its autobahns, and they do just fine. I cannot believe the audacity of this, and to think I will be FINED if I am caught exceeding it. UN-frickin-believable!!! What a bunch of commies. I should be free to choose whatever speed I feel is appropriate.
13 :
Another Mandate that you must comply with, when is enough enough?
14 :
Government wants to change "free society" to "free health care" providing coverage to the young and healthy to cut costs. Of course, They will send us the bill for care not received.
15 :
The same government that forces its citizens to: 1. pay taxes 2. purchase mandatory automobile insurance 3. pay taxes 4. register guns 5. pay taxes 6. register automobiles 7. pay taxes 8. get a driver's license in order to drive a vehicle 9. pay taxes 10. obey the rules of the road. 11. pay taxes 12. not murder, rape, rob other people 13. pay taxes ... just to name a few... oh and did I mention... pay taxes? Republican from before she was born... and PROUD of it.
16 :
Amen!
17 :
It doesnt. A free society by definition would have very little government intrusion into our lives. When democrats are in power, they supplant individual freedoms with government management, they suppress the private economic sector and promote government programs and controls (regulations). It is all about power. By making more and more people dependent on federal government, democrats make themselves careers in govt bureaucracy. Democrats give themselves lifetime careers in government at taxpayer expense or help friends in the private sector with large taxpayer paid contracts.

Can you turn down health insurance at your job to get paid more money

Can you turn down health insurance at your job to get paid more money?
My wife has great health insurance through her job. I was just wondering if this is possible before I bring it up at work.
Can I turn down my health insurance and ask to be paid more money each month?

Health insurance is optional as far as I know. The only difference in your paycheck will be that your employer won't be taking out any money for your portion of the health insurance payments. So I guess you could say that you would end up with more money in your net pay.
2 :
Sure, it's possible, but unless the company has a policy of doing this, they probably won't. Some companies have a "cafeteria plan" that gives employees a "benefit allowance." If the allowance is not used, for example to buy health insurance, it can be paid out to the employee or used to fund a 401(k) plan
3 :
To Be honest,It will take a little time to find the answer for the question of yours.have a look at the resource here http://www.HealthInsuranceIdeas.info/free-online-health-insurance.htm for your reference .
4 :
You can do that. It's something that you have to negotiate with your employer. Keep in mind that your employer does not have the obligation to give you more money if you don't want health insurance. Agent https://www.anyhealthinsurance.com

What is the best type of health insurance for a poor college student with a thyroid plroblem

What is the best type of health insurance for a poor college student with a thyroid plroblem?
Hello- I just started college a year ago and last year had problems with my expences, everything went to school and food basically ---I kept a strict budget and saved A LOT, and because of that this year i THINK i can afford health insurance and i really need it for i have been going without my thyroid prescription because it is kinda pricy and i have to PAY a doctor to get the persription renewed and all the tests that go with it. So- does anyone know of any good health care plans , kinda on the cheap side that would help me out with my doctor visits and prescriptions?

Most colleges and universities have a health plan available on campus. This will be your cheapest option. Depending upon your state and your exact thyroid problem, individual plans will either not cover your thyroid for a certain period of time as a pre-existing condition or they will decline your application altogether. Visit a local independent agent that works with all the major plans in your area. The agent can find out if a plan will accept you or not or will not cover your thyroid. The plans and premiums are exactly the same whether you use an agent or not.
2 :
Check out www.deliveringonthepromise.com/40545943 Watch the 5 minute video on the home page and you will qualify for a free $100 prescription card. Then select the "Save Money" option to see if they have a program that will work for you. This is not insurace it is discount healthcare. Their plans start at $19.95/mo per household. They also have a special Rx program you may qualify for that gets you all your prescriptions for just $82/mo. My husband is self employed, and we go this route. It's still cheaper than insurance premiums, deductibles, sopays, and coinsurance for our family of four.
3 :
It might be cheaper to just go and see a doctor and pay for the prescription yourself. Walmart has generic thyroid medications for $4.00 a month. Call your local hospitals to see if they have low cost care where you can see a doctor for free or at a reduced price. Many hospitals have such clinics and you can get your prescription there.

Will health insurance cover my heart condition

Will health insurance cover my heart condition?
I am looking to buy my own insurance but am wondering if my heart condition that i was born with will be covered or if it will be considered a pre-existing condition. My heart condition is not life threatening, but it is expensive to go to the cardiologist.
I am looking for some type of health coverage. I haven't had health insurance in almost a year. I am only covered when my mom has a full time job, which she does not right now. Sorry if it doesnt make sense but any useful information will be greatly appreciated.

Health insurance that does cover your condition will have a waiting period before they will cover a preexisting condition. However most will not cover your condition. There are health insurance programs in many states for people like yourself. For example, in Wisconsin, if two private insurance companies deny coverage for a health condition you can get high risk insurance which is state subsidized to keep the costs reasonable and a touch more expensive than normal private insurance. Past that company health insurance is often forced to take you in many states. I'm afraid there is not a lot of wonderful news on this topic. Health insurance is a topic that both insurance groups and buyers of insurance don't love. Neither side gets a lot out of it.
2 :
Hi Rachel, I've been in the insurance industry for a while and this question comes up very often. My advice to you is to get an inexpensive high deductible policy with an exemption for your condition. This means that whatever expenses you incur from your condition won't be paid by the company but your premium will be much lower. After you've gotten your policy, I recommend you open a health savings account. You can deposit as much money as you want up to the amount of your policy deductible yearly. This money accumulates very quickly and is tax favored but can only be used for health purposes. (Otherwise Uncle Sam will hit you with a very hefty penalty) After a while depending on how much you’re depositing, you'll have a nice cushion to help you out with your doctor visits and such. This way you can be insured for any health problems you have other than your heart condition and sort of self insure yourself when it comes to your preexisting condition. i hope this helps. If you have any more questions you can let me know or read my blog for some reference. allyinsurance.wordpress.com

Will health insurance cover my pregnancy if hubby and I purchase it now and get pregnant in 2 months

Will health insurance cover my pregnancy if hubby and I purchase it now and get pregnant in 2 months?
My hubby and I are wanting to start trying for a baby really soon, but are scared that the health insurance we purchase now won't cover it. Were looking to go thru Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. We would like to pay for health insurance without getting on Medicaid. Any experiences? Suggestions? Thanks.

You can call and ask. That is the best way to tell. I know that Blue Cross is a great insurance company. I know that there are insurance companies that will cover you if you are already pregnant and sign up. I suggest you call and ask.
2 :
all insurance companies are different so you'll have to call them and ask if there is a waiting period. Some insurance companies make you wait a certain amount of time before they will cover you good luck =)
3 :
The best thing you can do is look into the fine print at the insurance companies. Most have a 60-90 day period they want before becoming pregnant, like alot of the disability insurances you can get to cover additional maturnity leave. The only way to know for SURE is to look it up on their sites or as their representatives. People here will give u what I did, a "most" or "might" type response. Better to be safe than sorry.
4 :
Not our Anthem BC & BS. My wife & I had to buy a rider of $71 extra per month for pregnancy. There a was a 6 month limitations on it. If she were to get pregnant within the first 6 months, they would NOT cover it.
5 :
You will have to ask directly. Many companies have a waiting period to cover something like that.
6 :
Yes, generally medical plans consider pregnancy a preexisting condition so you will want to buy the policy well in advance before getting pregnant. However, if you are already pregnant and buy the policy it will probably be excluded. There may be an exception, but that is not likely. Please be absolutely sure you read the policy you are going to buy and look out for any exclusions or limitations regarding pregnancy so you are well informed and are able to make a good decision. Hope this helps.

Ask 0bama, he'll pay for it! He should know since he is treated like a dog! LMFAO!!!
3 :
You need to read the Obamacare bill. It is universal health care and that means that somewhere in it are provisions for your dog.
4 :
Obama's dog, Bo, is rumored to be working on "Bo Care". It's a $900 billion piece of legislation and all you have to do to see what's in it is pass it. BTW, according to one source "If the entire world eliminated dogs, the total output of greenhouse gases would be reduced by 1.8%." Keep an eye out for environmental extremists...
5 :
google pet vet insurance quotes
6 :
PUT IT DOWN, don't let it suffer anymore...and get a puppy.
