How can I get health insurance for cheap

How can I get health insurance for cheap?
I am just a student, and can't afford health insurance. I don't wanna get into paying someone a lot of money and than end up with them only covering some health problems, or some portions. This world is so screwed up!
Aren't there any good people in the government today who'd help poor students like me with their health? I sware I'm gonna vote for Hillary!

Can your parents put you on their insurance until you graduate? That has to suck you have enough to pay for. Unless they are paying for your education then thats different. lol Your best bet will be to shop around. Do quotes online to find the best one for you. You're a student so you'll get a discount.

You really have several options. One is that you can remain on your parents typically up to age 24. The second option is to find an agent in your area, tell them what you want to spend, and see what they have. Another option is to check with the university and see if they have a student health insurance program. Socialized medicine is just a buzz word that the democrats (which I am a liberal independent) use. Since the federal government cannot run a war, fund social security, handle disasters, nor have a tax system that works, letting them run the health insurance for the country will not work either. Canada has major problems too, my grandmother had to wait an eternity to have her broken hip replaced. Government and industry have to work together to solve the problem..Unfortuantely, the polarization in Washington causes nothing to get done. As someone in the industry, here are some general ideas that can help fix the problem with the system. Ban prescription drug advertising - New drugs cost much more than older drugs, and often are as effective as older drugs. What happens is people see the ads and go to their doctor and ask for the drug... Since doctors get incentives to write prescriptions for newer drugs, the prescription is often written, which the insurance company pays for, which increases rates. Have the government proved every person in the country with a $100,000 deductible, then have the carriers in the market insure the $100,000. Once the $100,000 is hit, the carriers then submit the claims to the federal governement. Taxes should not increase by that much for this and if properly set up, it would not create a huge bureaucracy. Cap medical malpractice awards, these rates the health insurance rates because the cost of medical malpractice insurance is such a large part of a docotrs expenses, that they inturn fight the insurance companies for more money, which increases your rates. Sorry about the rant, the Hillary comment made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up....I would vote for Bill again. But I think Hillary is too polarizing...Kind of the way Bush is...

Why, you want to pay an additional 50% of any salary in taxes, to cover a "national health care" program, where you can get on a LIST when you need heart surgery? Do me a favor - just move to Canada. There are MASSIVE problems with socialist health care programs. Or rather, as a student, PLEASE take on $250,000 of student loans and 8 years of school, and then be a doctor making $30,000 a year in a socialist health care sytstem, working 60 hour weeks. THAT'S screwed up. Health insurance, you get what you pay for. Do YOU want to take $50 a month from me, and pay out $800 a month in expenses? How long can you do that, before you go broke? You're not thinking this through - or maybe, you're not understanding what health insurance IS, or how it WORKS. Maybe you're just thinking, "ok, I need to take out more than I put in". But EVERYONE can't do that!! Do you see that? If you WANT good health care, it's GOING to cost $250 a month, period. If you're healthy.
