I need help. I don't have health insurance right now and I want to find an affordable one. I live in San Francisco, and I work part-time. I look at Athem insurance and it was around 60 bucks a month. I can't really afford that right now. Is there any other health insurance that is affordable and good?

It's free in Canada.

$60 per month is about as cheap as health insurance gets. I don't know how cheap you were expecting, but you will be EXTREMELY lucky to find anything cheaper and "good".

Yes, there is insurance that is good and meets the definition of "affordable", but costs more than $60 per month. No, there is not health insurance that is good and costs less than $60 per month, anywhere in the U.S... If you cannot afford $60 per month, then you cannot afford to leave in the Bay Area.

Hey Chris - You said you lived in San Francisco and that you worked part time? If $60 is a struggle perhaps you could try the "Healthy San Francisco" program (See link below.) You should also consider the great value of an HSA which you could read about at the blog noted below. Finally - i f you're under 26 perhaps your folks would be willing to put you back on their insurance per Health Care Reform legislation and you can read more about that at link noted below: http://www.healthysanfrancisco.org/visitors/ http://vitalityhealthinsurance.com/california-health-insurance-blog/
