Health insurance for low income taking a year off school?
I was wondering if someone could point me in a direction of some fairly cheap health insurance, I am on the birth control shot and that is one of the main reasons i would like to get some kind of copay health insurance.

I am graduating High School this year and am planning on taking a year off between it and college to save some money for college. If anyone has any ideas for me PLEASE let me know! I do have a job but they don't offer any health benefits other than workers comp. Thanks in advance!

What state do you live in? Individual states have different offers and guidelines.

There is no one health insurance program for low income persons of your age that is available everywhere. Any answer that we might suggest will be useless if you happen to live in a state where it is not available. Post this question again with the name of your state so that we can offer a suggestion that is available in that state.

Low income health insurance, also called welfare health insurance or Medicaid, is what you'd need to apply for. But I'd suggest if you're working, health insurance is going to cost way way WAY more than that shot.

It depends on what state you are in…. But if you are in South Carolina…I have great insurance through a company called Insphere. The thing to do is seek out a community health clinic in your area that charges according to your income. Health insurance is cheaper if you are young. You probably would not qualify for Medicaid as your household income would be too high.

HI, I work with ASSURANT HEALTH and they have a promotional policy going on right now that does have lower ates as well as a low deductible. It can be as low as 65.00 a month. It does vary by state and age. So if you are still looking let me know and i can send you the information.THANKS

There are some good ways to get cheap health insurance, you've just got to learn how to do it. A resource that helped me a lot is this guy's blog. He just talks about how and where to get the cheapest plans. You can read through his different posts and watch his videos to get a good idea of what to do. Hope this helps.
