How do tourists coming to America get health insurance

How do tourists coming to America get health insurance?
Particularly to Arizona. I have family coming from out of the country to Arizona to visit, where do I go to get them health insurance? Is American Visitor Insurance trustable, or simply a scam?

They get a travel insurance....

They usually have to get it from a company in their home country.

They have to contact the insurance company (or government agency) that usually covers their medical bill in their home country, and ask if they cover medical bills from the US. If the answer is "yes", then follow-up questions have to be asked: - what is covered and what isn't (all medical bills or only "real" emergencies)? - is there a maximum coverage sum? - how much are non-medical parts of bills (e.g. hospital beds, hospital food, etc.) allowed to cost? If the answer is "no", then they need to ask an insurance company or a travel agent for holiday insurance policies. Here, again, same questions as above apply. Two important things to know: - many companies want to make sure that only genuine tourists are buying their policies, so they restrict their coverage to persons staying a short amount of time (e. g. 30 days, 40 days, etc.). If there are more days between your flight and your returen flight than is accepted in the policy, you automatically lose coverage, even for the first part of your holidays. - insurance or not, US hospitals may insist on you coughing up all the money beforehand! Because they don't know the foreign companies and rather ask the patient's family for cash in advance. This can (on rare occasions) be avoided by getting (before travelling) an English language letter from the insurance company naming a well-known US-based partner company that guarantees the payment.
