My husband is self employed and I don't work. We are looking for health insurance. Blue cross and blue shield is the only company I really know of. I know there has to be more out there. I would like to get basic coverage in case of emergencies and maternity coverage as we plan to have kids in the next year or two. Thanks.

I'm assuming you're American? In Australia there's a company called iSelect which find the best healthcare based on your criteria so I Googled to try and find you something similiar, I don't know if the below website is what I'm talking about but I think that's what you need... somewhere that will compare for you and let you know what's right for your circumstances!! blue cross blue shield is awesome. I'm a medical student and found it interesting how each patient's insurance company can affect how doctors go about treating their illnesses. Patients with good insurance essentially get the best care - not because the doctors are mean, but just because they don't want to make their patients become homeless just to have that surefire $500 antibiotic when the $3 will probably work just as well.
