I'm doing homework and I need some help. What would be the average cost of health insurance for a 27 year old?
The monthly cost would be the most helpful.

About $300 a month for a good plan, assuming they are healthy. If they get it through an employer, they'd probaby pay $50 a month, and the employer would pay the rest.

Anywhere between $150 to $500 if you're covering it yourself, substantially less if you can get your employer to cover some of it. Best of luck.

the price all depends on the plan you choose. the higher the premium, the lower the out of pocket expenses when you use the plan. the lower the premiums, the higher the out of pocket expenses. i would go on the health insurance websites (bcbs.com) to run a quote online.

In UK, depends on your occupation, the younger you are when signing up the better. If you smoke or have smoked in the last 12 months expect to have a hefty loading on your policy. For full private health i.e. Bupa, NU in a non manual role about £30 - £50.00 per month. Speak to a local broker they will be able to quote you or go on line. Most will give you an idea.

you can try to get information or quotes there

Unlike Car Insurance, Health Insurance goes up as you get older. Also, it depends on which state the person is. California people pay around $1000 year, and New Jersey pay around $7000 I read that somewhere at AHIP, wish I could give you exact link http://www.ahipresearch.org/ Depends on company too. Are you doing homework or want insurance yourself? Well, if you looking for insurance try these. Blue Cross Blue Shield Celtic United Healthcare Humana UniCare Aetna Assurant Health Golden Rule Kaiser Permanente
